Doink
Privacy Policy
Doink — Effective November 1, 2026.
Doink (“the App,” “we,” “us”) is developed by SetSync Central. This policy covers the iOS app and the API it talks to. There is no account, no ads, and we do not sell your data.
At a glance
- No login. No advertising identifiers. No IDFA. We do not show an App Tracking Transparency prompt because we do not track you across other companies’ apps for ads.
- We store a random device ID so follows and quiet hours survive a relaunch.
- If you turn on notifications, we store an Expo push token so we can send the alerts you asked for.
- The app sends crash reports to Sentry and product analytics (screens, taps, and things like “followed a team”) to PostHog. Both are keyed to that same random device ID — not your name or email.
- Scores and play data come from CollegeFootballData.com, CollegeBasketballData.com, ESPN, and public NCAA records — not from your contacts or photos.
What we store
- Device ID — a UUID the app generates and sends as
x-device-id. Purpose: remember which teams you follow and your Misery Meter settings, and tie crash/analytics events to this install. - Push token (optional) — Expo / APNs token if you enable notifications. Purpose: deliver the alerts you opted into. We do not send this to Sentry or PostHog.
- Follows, meter tier, quiet hours — stored on our Postgres database so they work across sessions.
Diagnostics
Sentry receives crashes, performance traces, and (on native builds) a masked session replay around errors — text and images in those recordings are obscured. PostHog receives anonymous product events, screen views, tap autocapture, JavaScript exceptions, and masked session replay so we can see which flows break. Neither vendor gets your name, email, contacts, photos, or advertising ID.
We do not collect your name, email, precise location, contacts, or IDFA.
Notifications
Push is off until you enable it. You can mute a team or set quiet hours in Settings. Uninstalling the app stops delivery.
Children
Doink is a sports scores app rated 4+. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Write us if that concerns you.
Changes
If we add an account later, or change what we send to Sentry or PostHog, we will update this page and the App Store privacy labels before that ships.
